Hi there! Today I have a new concept for this week’s ‘Premier League Weekly’! In this episode I am going to give you one player from all of last weekend’s Premier League matches that are on fire right now and need to make it into your Fantasy Football team! Enjoy!
Wolves 1-1 Manchester City – Aymeric Laporte (£5.5m)
Manchester City look set for another decent season defensively, and Aymeric Laporte looks like he is going to be their main central defender after an excellent start to the season. He proved in this game that he can score goals, so at only £5.5m I can see him being quite a steal. Get him in quickly as I believe his price is going to be on the rise.
Arsenal 3-1 West Ham United – Hector Bellerín (£5.5m)
Arsenal got their first win under Unai Emery, and now their next three matches are against Cardiff, Newcastle and Everton. This means that they should get at least one clean sheet if not two and also as Bellerín is an extremely attacking full back he may get a couple of assists. Definitely think about putting him into your team for the next few matches.
Bournemouth 2-2 Everton – Theo Walcott (£6.7m)
After Richarlison (£6.7m) got sent off in this game, his perfect replacement is Everton team mate Theo Walcott who is the exact same price and has scored 22 points in his first three games this season. The Toffees face Huddersfield and West Ham at home in their next two matches so I can see another batch of points coming the former Arsenal man’s way.
Huddersfield 0-0 Cardiff City – Neil Etheridge (£4.6m)
Looking for a cheap goalkeeper to bring into your team? Look no further than Cardiff City’s Neil Etheridge. The shot stopper has saved two penalties and kept two clean sheets in his first three games, meaning he is on a whopping 28 points! Get transferring!
Southampton 1-2 Leicester City –Ricardo Pereira (£5.1m)
Signed in the summer from Porto, Ricardo Pereira is an extremely attacking right back who has come up with two assists and a clean sheet in his first three games. The Foxes have two relatively easy games out of their next three matches, so I would recommend giving him a run out.
Liverpool 1-0 Brighton – Sadio Mane (£9.9m)
Liverpool have had a wonderful start to the season, so it’s so surprise that Sadio Mane has been excellent for them. He is currently on 29 points from only three games and is involved in most good things that Liverpool do going forward and I wouldn’t bet against there being a lot more good things that the Reds do this season. This means that the Senegalese winger is a hot prospect in Fantasy Football. Get him in soon before his price sky-rockets!
Watford 2-1 Crystal Palace – Roberto Pereyra (£6.2m)
On 26 points with three goals in three matches, Watford’s Argentinian midfielder Roberto Pereyra is on fire. An excellent and cheap replacement for suspended Richarlison, he has been transferred in by 250,000 FPL managers this week. Will you call him up to your team?
Fulham 4-2 Burnley – Aleksandar Mitrovic (£6.6m)
After a 16 point haul including two goals and an assists against Burnley at Craven Cottage, Aleksandar Mitrovic now has 24 points in only three matches this season. He is extremely cheap for a striker and will continue to play all season as he doesn’t really have much competition for the centre-forward position at Fulham. This means that he would be an excellent signing as the third forward in your team.
Newcastle United 1-2 Chelsea – Marcos Alonso (£6.7m)
Marcos Alonso is the highest scoring player after three games of this season’s fantasy football with an unbelievable 35 points. The flying wing back is always forward, so is a must-have in any fantasy football team, for me. He is almost guaranteed to get an assist or a goal every game because of how far forward he gets.
Manchester United 0-3 Tottenham – Lucas Moura (£7.1m)
After scoring two goals to help Tottenham to a phenomenal victory at Old Trafford, Lucas Moura is now hot property in fantasy football. In that game he earned 15 points, taking his overall tally to 24 points. The winger is incredibly fast and an excellent dribbler, meaning he will get in plenty of chances to shoot or cross to Harry Kane or Dele Alli this season. This is why I think he would be a great pick for a medium priced midfielder in any team.
Thanks for reading, what did you think of this new idea? Who is in you fantasy football team?
